Based on experience this position could be consider for an Underwriter Support Manager

Supervises Surety Underwriting Support staff to ensure a balanced, profitable and quality book of business. Collaborates with management to develop and monitor operating and quality standards for unit. Responsible for coordinating and administering support functions within an assigned office(s). Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements as well as internal policies. Supervises staff and collaborates with management on hiring, training/development and evaluation/adjustment of performance. Ensures Underwriting Assistant staff develops and maintains business relationships with Surety underwriting, internal service partners, and external clients.

• Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
• 5 or more years of progressive work experience within Surety, preferably covering multiple product lines, or equivalent experience is expected.
• Advanced knowledge of surety rating procedures, systems/workflows and/or previous supervisory or leadership experience.
• Ability to get work done through others, analyze/solve problems, build relationships, and plan/assign/organize/evaluate work of staff members.
• Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills, including listening, and presenting information clearly and confidently.
• Ability and willingness to travel (approximately 15%).
