Role: Field Service Technician

Location: Remote can consider for West Coast candidates.
Job Type: Permanent/Full time

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Field Technician to join our team. Under limited supervision, this role provides professional installation, troubleshooting, repair, and phone technical support services to customers.

The successful candidate will possess excellent technical, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and in a team environment. You will also be required to have excellent communication skills, as you will be interacting with internal and external customers regularly.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide virtual (phone/email), and hands-on installation.

· Troubleshoot and repair of weighing equipment and check weighing machinery.

· Coordinate with Customer Care to handle customer paperwork, order processing, RMAs, etc.

· Perform upgrades and tests on products according to Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s) or engineering test procedures.

· Expedite invoices from completed repairs and services. Tracks and reports job expenses.

· Work with management and peers to drive process improvement and technological advancement within the Repair and Technical Support group.

· Support Hardy sales personnel and channel partners with application and product expertise to develop business opportunities.

· Perform on-site and remote product training to sales personnel, channel partners and customers.

· Up to 40% travel to on-site customer locations will be required.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical school degree or certification preferred.

· 2+ years of experience in a field technician or similar role working from schematics, formal written test procedures and verbal instructions. Ability using large and small tools, testing equipment, and multimeters is also required.

· Previous experience and proficiency with Rockwell or Allen-Bradley PLCs/PACs

· Computer proficiency including Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as a willingness to learn database software applications. IFS and CRM a plus.

· Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

· Weighing and scale experience is highly desirable

· Previous experience promoting or selling products or services is a plus.

· RS Logix/Studio ladder logic programming.

· Bilingual in Spanish

· Experience with PanelView HMI/MMI,

· Siemens and ProfiNet programming and networking

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: From $75,000.00 per year
