Bell-Textron Inc. is seeking a Field Service Representative candidate to support the MV-22 Program at MCAS New River, Jacksonville NC. The successful candidate will maintain competency to provide support in the operation and maintenance of all systems of the USMC MV-22 Osprey to include avionics, electrical, airframe, drive systems, engine controls, hydraulics, flight controls, and fuel systems. This position requires experience and technical expertise on military aircraft products operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Position Responsibilities:

  • This position requires experience and technical expertise on military aircraft operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Candidate will provide on-site company representation and technical support to military customers and initiate corrective actions for maintenance and logistics issues.

  • Candidate will utilize technical expertise and product knowledge to assist the customer to achieve and sustain a high level of proficiency in the operation and maintenance of the MV-22 aircraft by providing on-the-job and classroom maintenance training and providing logistics and technical assistance to maintainers.

  • Candidate will be required to assist NAVAIR and Bell/Boeing service engineers with investigations and developing and implementing corrective actions.

  • Applicant will be required to develop excellent relationships across multiple organizations, and with all levels of the military customer and company personnel, to ensure customer satisfaction with company products and services.

  • It is critical that this candidate will thoroughly comprehend the process of how problems and solutions are reported when systems/components fail on aircraft.

  • Travel with the squadron to off-site locations to include overseas will be required. Travel may include deployments at sea and/or to hostile environments.


Position Requirements:

  • Extensive hands on V-22 support experience within the Marines, Air Force, Navy, or Bell/Boeing organizations.

  • Excellent knowledge of V-22 aircraft systems and naval aircraft maintenance procedures are required.

  • Extensive maintenance experience with military and/or commercial rotorcraft systems and FAA A&P certification; or bachelor’s degree in a related field with maintenance experience on military and/or commercial rotorcraft systems.

  • Personal computer proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications is required. Excellent oral and writing skills are required.

  • Required to obtain and hold a Secret level security clearance. Experience using TARS, as well as government systems/databases are essential.

Special Note: Because of the deployment requirement and based on contractual requirements, there are certain non-deployable conditions for this position. The presence of any of these conditions will make the individual ineligible for employment for this position. These conditions are highlighted in the included pre-deployment physical paperwork and in line with Mod 15 deployment guidelines.
