Job Purpose/Overview
The POC Field Applications Specialist will oversee on-site customer education and support related to POC install and its components. The role of the POC Field Applications Specialist is to enhance customer education experience by providing a high level of customer service and educational opportunities including but not limited to: post sale onsite installation and applications training, product demonstrations in collaboration with the Sales Team, investigating and resolving any technical or other problems that arise during installations. The position will coordinate with the company technical resources to address customer issues, support quality management system and other compliance requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for customer relations and education upon sale completion and coordination of POC install and components.
  • Physical install of POC systems and computers at clinic location as well as manage escalations
  • Applications training for customers for all products and services offered by Antech POC.
  • Own POC system post installation follow up, identify gaps and road blocks that occurred during the installation process and facilitate a resolution (may involve other departments).
  • Offer ongoing assistance and availability for on location support to customers whose needs surpass the abilities of phone and online interactive support.
  • Coordinate phone and online applications support as part of the ongoing training process (pre and post training) and as back up assistance to the Technical Support department.
  • Perform troubleshooting on system performance designed to improve customer self-sufficiency.
  • Recognizes and communicates product issues and potential improvements to others in the organization in a timely and effective manner.
  • Consults in the sales cycle regarding interaction/technical/workflow issues.
  • Manage time; territory, systems and accounts effectively to meet customer needs; organizational priorities and sales objectives.
  • Manage expenses for reimbursement and clerical reporting tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager in support of the operation.
Education and Experience
  • BS/BA degree in related field preferred, or combination of education and industry experience
  • 4+ years relevant technical experience
  • Previous veterinary medicine background preferred, and prior customer service preferred
  • POC diagnostics experience: collection, preparation, testing, etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • POC diagnostics utilization, installation and training experience preferred
  • Ability to multi- task and handle heavy workload (including travel, phone, email and data entry)
  • Must work well independently with minimal direction
  • Intermediate computer skills required; knowledge of basic computer networks and components required
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications required
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented attitude
  • Must have a strong planning & organizational skill with good attention to detail
  • Proven ability to follow through and resolve issues
  • Must be willing to be a team player
Travel
Extensive travel to include overnight up to 75%
Working Conditions
The associate is regularly required to work in a non-office work environment at clinical settings, where pets are present. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
