We're hiring for a 1st Shift Fiberglass Process Technician!

**Core Hours are Monday-Thursday, 5:30am-3:30pm. Overtime on Fridays with notice.

**$22.50-$24.00/hour, plus 50 cent wage increases every 4 months! Benefits start on your 31st day with us.

Position Summary:

The Fiberglass Process Technician is an experienced self-starter with strong problem-solving skills. This technician will be able to identify and find solutions to manufacturing issues related to safety, quality, delivery and process with minimal supervision. The person will support the fiberglass operation with process control, tooling, and equipment in day-to-day production and assist with additional process improvement projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce/eliminate issues
  • Create and document Standard Work and Work Instructions using web based VKS system
  • Perform time studies to resolve workflow and line balancing problems
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to resolve production issues
  • Have ability to fabricate new tools and fixtures and lead efforts to procure and implement them
  • Work hands-on with production employees and management to identify opportunities to simplify and standardize production work duties
  • Have the ability to create templates, fixtures and jigs to help simplify production needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years fiberglass manufacturing experience with knowledge of the process from start to finish *required
  • 3+ years process technician experience in a manufacturing environment *preferred
  • Lift up to 30 lbs. up to 60% of shift and 50 lbs. up to 30% of shift, push/pull up to 30 lbs.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills
  • Must be a self-starter and be detail oriented
  • Must have basic computer skills. MS Office with advanced Excel. CAD software experience a plus but not required
  • Should be experienced utilizing Lean Manufacturing and related problem-solving tools.
  • Should have excellent employee relations skills for all interactions
  • Able to work independently with little supervision
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all functional areas in the facility
  • Flexibility for overtime, including some weekends, as needed (often tied to production schedule)
