Seeking an Assistant General Manager to help operate the Amano Taco food stall at Baltimore's famous R. House food hall.

Position Overview:

Every great team has great leaders – as AGM at Amano Taco, you are one of the anchors of your store and it is your responsibility to enthusiastically lead your team with a focus on exceptional customer service and great tasting, high quality food. Your responsibilities include assisting the GM to develop the team, create an excellent guest experience, and ensuring consistent, high quality food that meets Amano Taco standards.

THIS IS A TIPPED POSITION.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages brilliant shifts and helps the GM with administrative duties such as inventory, food ordering, scheduling and store management
  • Displays a customer comes first attitude by setting a positive example for the store team, as well as holding team members accountable for delivering consistently outstanding customer service
  • Drives and effectively implements existing and/or new company standards through effective planning, communication, and coaching of the store team
  • Plans, identifies, communicates and delegates appropriate responsibilities and practices to team members to ensure smooth flow of operations
  • Provides coaching and direction to store team to achieve operational goals
  • Constantly reviews store environment and business performance to identify problems, concerns and opportunities for improvement. Effectively plans solutions and communicates plan to the store team to meet operational goals
  • Monitors store inventory, orders, food preparation and food waste to ensure the store team is following company standards and meeting prime cost goals

Developing the Team:

  • Actively manages team members by coaching in the moment, providing performance feedback, and setting goals to improve performance
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with team members by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns
  • Reinforces positive team member performance by recognizing individual and team accomplishments
  • Utilizes operational tools to keep record of coaching and performance reviews
  • Utilizes and demonstrates effective management and leadership practices to create and maintain a successful store team that results in an environment where team members feel valued and respected

Requirements:

  • Shift management experience – 3+ years
  • Experience in fast-casual restaurants or kitchen management
  • Experience in food safety and planning
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to manage store operations independently
  • Knowledge of customer service techniques
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures
