Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - outpatient clinic Job at Rural Health Group, Inc.

Rural Health Group, Inc., located in scenic northeastern North Carolina, is seeking experienced Advanced Practice Providers (PAs and/or FNPs) to provide excellent quality patient-centered health care in an outpatient primary care setting. We are currently (4th quarter 2022) primarily considering candidates with at least 2-3 years of outpatient primary care experience.

We currently have openings for:
  • RHG at Lake Gaston in the town of Littleton full-time – colleagues: 2 full-time FM MDs
  • RHG at Roanoke Rapids (“RRFP”; multi-provider location) – will work one day per week at RHG at Drugco Express (solo-provider location) and the balance at RRFP. Will provide coverage for DE for PTO/CME. (both clinics are in Roanoke Rapids)
  • RHG at Jackson – colleague: 1 full-time MD internist
  • RHG at HCC (Halifax Community College ) – in the town of Weldon (just east of Roanoke Rapids) – solo-provider location, hybrid of regular outpatient family practice primary care open to all and school-based health center (for the college, the multiple early college high schools on the campus, etc.)
  • RHG at Lake Gaston (Littleton)/RHG at Twin County (in Hollister) - time split between the 2 offices (we will be hiring the one above for just Lake Gaston first)
  • RHG at Stovall – small office with one medical provider, a pharmacist, a few support staff – connected electronically with the rest of the group
We will also be hiring a second "float provider" (see below).

The APP "Float Provider" is employed directly by RHG full-time, but provides coverage at multiple locations rather than establishing a patient panel at one location. We refer to our clinics in three areas:

  • Our "west side" clinics (Stovall, Henderson [north of Raleigh/Durham], Norlina, Twin County in Hollister)
  • Our "east side" clinics (Jackson, Rich Square, Scotland Neck, Enfield, and Whitakers)
  • Our "central" clinics (in the Roanoke Rapids/Lake Gaston area)
