Position Description Summary:

The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates Inc. (MFA), an independent non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with George Washington University, is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty appointment in a vibrant, growing academic practice in the Division of Radiation Oncology of the Department of Radiology. Non-tenure track appointment will be made at the rank (Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor) and salary commensurate with experience.



Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include treating breast, gastrointestinal, and thoracic malignancies, using stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiation therapy, brachytherapy, and external beam modalities to provide care to patients with cancer and other conditions treated with radiotherapy; teaching students and residents in classroom and clinical settings; and developing an active research program. Opportunities are available to participate in ongoing multidisciplinary clinical research projects and other activities of the George Washington Cancer Center. The Center brings together the resources of the George Washington University, the GW MFA, and the GW University Hospital to expand current research efforts in the fight against cancer and to position our institution as the premier cancer care provider in the Washington, D.C. area.



Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be ABR eligible or certified, and be eligible for medical licensure at the time of appointment. Applicants must have interest and experience in treating breast, gastrointestinal, and thoracic malignancies. Evidence of academic accomplishments (scholarly activity and/or innovative teaching) is also required.



Advertised Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
