JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of hospital buildings, grounds, and mechanical systems, while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.

ESSENTIALS JOB DUTIES:

Responsible, with assistance from Administration and Board of Control for developing Maintenance Policies and Procedures.

Assures that logs are maintained to meet State Health Department guidelines.

Responsible for the maintenance and improvements of the hospital grounds and facilities. Inspects the physical facilities and makes recommendations regarding painting, repairs, refurbishing, etc.

Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Maintenance activities

Schedule both internal and external work(s) working collaboratively with the departments involved.

Manage contractors on site to ensure they meet legal and company requirements and to ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors

Supervises and oversees the work of the maintenance staff.

Participates in required training and education.

Participates in required training, QA/PI projects and compliance activities. Will comply with federal and state regulations and industry standards.

Performs any other assigned duties by the Administrator.
