JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities Engineer will participate in engineering assignments for facilities projects related to compression facilities, salt water disposal and pumping facilities, and pipeline gathering networks and other product/processing related infrastructure and facilities. The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for development and management of Midstream related projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for designing and managing projects related to onshore compression facilities, salt water disposal and pumping facilities, and pipeline gathering systems.
  • Provides planning estimates, detailed estimates, project updates as needed for assigned projects
  • Participates in bidding and selection processes for vendors to perform various construction activities
  • Supports operations and troubleshoots to identify problems and provide solutions
  • Other tasks as assigned
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to develop cost estimates, develop P&IDs, review design packages, and communicate effectively with construction and operations personnel
  • Knowledge of corrosion, fluid mechanics, and economic analysis for facilities
  • Understanding of DOT, RRC and BLM regulations a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Midstream assets design and operation
  • Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task with attention to accuracy
  • Must be team player that possess the ability to adapt to a changing and fast paced work environment

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND

Work is typically performed both indoors and outdoors. Incumbents in this position must be able to physically and legally operate company owned vehicles. Employees must be able to perform work which requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping and climbing. Exposure to conditions such as extreme heat or cold is likely. Employee is required to physically visit areas where actual operations are occurring, such as drilling and completions locations or production sites. Personal protective equipment including, but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes, and flame resistant clothing are required. Safety rules including OSHA and DOT requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.
