FACILITATOR

POSITION SUMMARY

Community Tech is an Information Technology services company with over 11 years of service to both the commercial and public sectors. We are a small minority-owned business located in Washington DC, that takes pride in maintaining strong and extended business relationships with clients such as the District

Government, Veterans Affairs, Wine.com, Career Team, Marriott, Providence Medical Building, Bowie

State University, and ResCare Inc., to name a few.

Under the supervision of the Director of Education, the Facilitator will deliver various certificate-based training to youth and adult participants of Community Tech, LLC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Facilitate and teach the components of the specified class for youth and adult dislocated workers at assigned locations across the city
• Execute lesson plans, assign tasks and evaluate student work and progress
• Supervise, and motivate student participants
• Promote a safe, effective, and ethical learning environment
• Use professional discretion and judgment in managing students in a classroom setting
• Support efforts to complete monthly progress reports for student participants and ensure the

• Report regularly to the Director of Education on the progress being made
• Assure computer equipment is functioning and appropriately utilized by the participants (If any challenges with the equipment please enter a help desk ticket)
• Attend weekly staff meetings
• Attend regular supervision sessions

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent team player
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Degree preferred

Preferred Knowledge:

• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Illustrator
• Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Microsoft Office Suite

COVID-19 considerations:

All customers and employees are required to wear a mask, common surfaces are sanitized regularly, and proof of vaccination is required.

This is a public-facing position. Telework for “emergency / special” situations must be approved in advance by Community Tech CEO or his designee.
