Summary:

The Food & Beverage (FB) Manager oversees the restaurant and bar operation and ensures exceptional service, quality and consistency. This person provides a unique personal guest experience by welcoming guests to the bar and restaurant and delivering exceptional guest service while driving a quality and value experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures guest satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; initiating improvements when necessary; and building relationships with guests.
  • Possesses complete knowledge of public dining spaces as well as bar areas and set-up requirements.
  • Conducts pre-shift meetings and informs the service team of specials, upcoming events, etc.
  • Oversees and assists in the set-up, service, and breakdown of the restaurant.
  • Directs and leads service delivery by hourly team members in all phases of guest service and job functions, ensuring that all procedures are carried out to meet Company service standards.
  • Resolves guest concerns and/or complaints escalated from service team members while maintaining guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with all Company policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy facility by following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; and maintaining security systems.
  • Maintains complete knowledge and strictly abides by State and Federal regulations, particularly those prohibiting service of alcohol to minors, intoxicated persons, and dispensing of alcoholic beverages to state and or local officials.
  • Manages supplies storage areas; ensures organization and cleanliness.
  • Maintains par levels for supplies, liquor, beer, wine, and equipment; completes requisitions to replenish shortages and adds additional items to meet the anticipated business levels.
  • Control costs and loss for assigned locations.
  • Directs and oversees cash handling and payment processing, and ensures financial policies and procedures are strictly followed by issuing banks and change to team members per Company policy.
  • Exercises discretion and independent judgment in the completion of job duties related to matters of significance.
  • Prepares a daily/nightly recap for each operating period to include the flow of business, sales, performance issues, inventory concerns, supplies to be ordered, and guest questions, concerns or requests.
  • Creates weekly schedules for team members using ADP Schedules and the Company’s labor-management practices to ensure budget compliance.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Food & Beverage on team member’s performance evaluations.
  • Develops and implements food and beverage training plans and ensures all direct reports are properly educated and certified on policies, procedures, and standards

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 5 years of restaurant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of general restaurant policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of the food and beverage industry
  • Strong interpersonal, managerial, and leadership skills required
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required
  • Consistently maintains a well-groomed appearance, posture, and hygiene
  • Outgoing personality is warm and friendly; demonstrates enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Possesses effective listening skills and strong judgment
  • Maintains a high energy level
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic math skills are required
  • Possesses strong computer and Social Media skills, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask in high stress/fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
