Charlotte Pipe and Foundry , located in Wildwood, Florida , is looking for Extrusion Operators with a proven track record to join our team. Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is a leading manufacturer of pipe and fittings. We are the only manufacturer that offers a complete system of cast iron, PVC, CPVC, ABS and FlowGuard Gold® pipe and fittings for residential and commercial plumbing systems and industrial applications. Summary: Extrusion Operator is responsible for running extrusion machines, packing and moving pipe to storage location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Starting up extruder, monitoring material flow, making adjustments to extruder and downstream equipment as needed.
Inspecting and identifying poor quality pipe using micrometer, pie tape, etc.
Packing pipe per standards with strapping tool, weighing pipe and moving to designated storage area with forklift.
Keeping work area up to 5S housekeeping standards including operating sweeper as necessary.
Responsible for performing minor repairs on pipe racks, printers, etc.
Assisting set-up instructor as necessary.
Assisting Tool & Die and Maintenance personnel in repair of equipment.

Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to work 12 hour, night shift
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
