JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Extrusion Operations Technician under general direction of the shift manager and overall direction of management, will be responsible for the hands-on execution of all manufacturing activities in the production area. This includes production and R&D trial operations. Collaborates effectively with other departments to ensure production goals are met.

Essential Functions:

Responsible for starting machines and setting controls to regulate synchronized speed, vacuum, feeding and pelletization of plastic compounds during manufacturing. Continuous monitoring of these processes throughout shifts and adjustments needed to meet manufacturing requirements.

Perform all activities in a safe manor

Using the ERP system, accurately run production according to the production schedule and manufacturing process instructions

Collaboration with QC to ensure compliant product is being produced

Assist with machine maintenance including but not limited to: installation of die heads, vacuum clear out, underwater pelletizer adjustments, classifier clean outs.

Clean up post-production and production changeover.

Notify supervisor of production non-conformities and machine maintenance.

Ensures that work performed is accurate, timely, efficient and compliant with company policies, plant SOP?s, cGMP regulations, and FDA regulations.

Reliable attendance

Experience Required:

HS or GED equivalent

Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States

2-4 years of manufacturing experience

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand on feet for majority of shift

Experience Preferred:

5+ years: operation experience in a plastic compounding facility

Forklift certified
