Title: Experiential Marketing Manager

Reporting to: Director of Marketing and Communications

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Status: Full-time, regular, exempt

Who you are:

As a curious, confident, and creative leader, you oversee Atento Capital’s events and special projects strategy and execution. Your role is to strengthen and protect Atento Capital’s brand, advance our goals, and partner with management to engage with our key audiences through tools such as public relations, community outreach, recruitment marketing, and social media. In addition, you are the marketing and communications team lead for all internal and external office events, conferences, and initiatives. ‍

You are passionate about contributing to developing key partnerships, programs, and visitor experiences in Tulsa. As the Experiential Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the line management and implementation of events, programming, and planning with community team members. You are excited to try new things and energized by the opportunity to execute unique and differentiated events–the kind of event that leaves attendees with a “wow, that was a completely unique and different kind of experience” reaction. In this role, you are an out-of-the-box and sophisticated thinker with a solid event and logistical background, an ability to innovate and thrive in an analytic environment, and a marketing pro who finds fulfillment in building community.

As the Experiential Marketing Manager:

Events

  • You are responsible for the end-to-end management of events including, but not limited to, internal affiliation events, family-oriented parties and retreats, off-site and industry conferences, client entertainment, brand-building events, and hosted site visits
  • You work in partnership with leadership to develop events programming that infuses the Atento brand, values, and office aspirations into new and existing events, including but not limited to those for new hires, current staff, prospective founders, and visiting investors
  • You’ll maintain a rigorous debrief and analysis process to ensure programming is innovative with a clear ROI and grounded in an ethos of continual improvement for future events
  • You will ensure all event logistics are facilitated, including RSVP management, CRM diligence, and debriefs
  • You will cultivate and curate relationships with a diverse set of vendors, partners, and local businesses and operate the events team as a center of excellence for all Tulsa area events
  • You will directly plan large-scale and high-stakes events, including staff retreats and parties, community partner events, and critical investor/founder events and hosted visits
  • You’ll diligently manage the events budget and facilitate the approval process for other branding events
  • You are responsible for adherence to all liability, confidentiality, health, and safety requirements
  • You’ll lead and manage a team, which may consist of Atentans, Atenterns, and contractors as needed to execute fully

Marketing and Communications

  • You act as a local liaison for Atento Capital Marketing & Communications department and the Tulsa tech and entrepreneurial ecosystem
  • You show excellence in supporting strategic initiatives and aligning local resources for Tulsa-based events
  • You will work with design contractors to develop and design branded event collateral, invitations, and other marketing materials
  • You will create polished presentations and decks as they relate to specific projects and events
  • You’ll serve as a liaison with Atento Capital partnerships, including founders, investors, and unique visitors

Communications/Research

  • You are responsible for developing an office-wide events calendar and communications plan and leveraging internal platforms
  • You will research new opportunities within the Tulsa community, including but not limited to cultural institutions, venues, vendors, and potential business relationships
  • You will maintain resource files of sites, hotels, meeting rooms, and associated vendors
  • You’ll create surveys and analyzes data as it relates to event attendance and feedback

Customer Service

  • You exude a hospitality mindset with a hyper-focus on the total customer service experience
  • You act as a liaison for all Atento Capital partners, including Build in Tulsa, inTulsa, Experience Tulsa, and more

As our Ideal Experiential Marketing Manager, you:

  • Have a BA/BS (ideally in Business, Marketing, or Hospitality)
  • Have 6+ years of event planning experience
  • Are aligned with Atento’s Core Values of People First, Curious, Humble, Exceptionality
  • Are comfortable with travel and working extended and evening hours during peak demand season and events
  • Have computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Photoshop or InDesign, Mailchimp, Splashthat, CRM
  • Can demonstrate strong interpersonal skills conveying a positive personal and professional image and projecting self-confidence and enthusiasm
  • Have a commitment to environmental sustainability best practices and advancing DEI through events and supplier procurement
  • Are excellent at managing stakeholders
  • Have a working knowledge of slide writing and graphic design
  • Have robust verbal and written communication, process/project management, and negotiation skills
  • Have experience in marketing and design work; specifically invitations, logos, and signage
  • Are savvy in budget management and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects
  • Have meticulous attention to detail
  • Can recognize and maintain confidentiality at all times
