We are one of the premier retirement communities in the country, located at the base of the Santa Rita Mountains in Green Valley, AZ. Our campus is nestled among beautiful pecan groves on 125 acres. We pride ourselves on offering several different dining venues, including our fine dining option, The Continental.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for initial, as well as on-going training of cooking staff for the entire La Posada
  • Maintains food cost within budgetary guidelines.
  • Ensures allocated labor and FTE budget are followed for kitchen Maintains HACCP food safety, temperature logs, sanitation, waste logs and other production forms related to Dining Services.
  • Works closely with purchasing agent to obtain quality products at the best
  • Pro-active participant with service
  • Trains and evaluates and supervises all food production Fills in for cooks as needed. Must follow guidelines and responsibilities set forth for cooking staff.
  • Works closely with the Executive Chef to ensure catered functions are prepared and served according to proper setup and delivered in a timely
  • Teaching cooking classes as needed throughout the La Posada
  • Visibility in all Dining
  • Other duties deemed necessary by the Dining Services Director and Executive
  • To adhere to personal grooming guidelines and regulations as set forth by La
