JOB SUMMARY:
The ERP Support Analyst will provide support for implementations, daily operations, integrations, maintenance, upgrades, and other functions related to the successful operations of AbelConn’s ERP and connected systems. This position could provide support to employees, vendors and contractors. Additional project work will include performing as a subject matter expert in data migrations, assistance in designing and running validation test, and assisting in conversion of current processes.

REPORTS TO: IT Manager

JOB DUTIES:

• Partner with support team to manage helpdesk tickets from receipt to successful resolution.
• Participate in the selection, project planning, implementation, and ongoing support of proposed software solutions.
• Participate in the development of test plans, quality assurance and change management of all system upgrades and deployments.
• Become the Subject Matter Expert on applications to provide recommendations on preferred usage and best practices on the platform.
• Responsible for ERP backup of all files and programs.
• Responsible for reporting and other ERP system outputs.
• Install new ERP software and programs as needed.
• Maintain copies and records of all software with support team.
• Write MAPICS queries as needed.
• Monitor and identify problems in ERP system with support team.
• Maintain, program and test modules within ERP applications projects as needed.
• Design data warehousing and business intelligence platform required for ERP solution execution with support team as needed.
• Coordinate with support team and vendors to resolve bugs and implement fixes/patches.
• Attend user conferences and on-going training sessions to achieve a level of technical skill needed to solve more complex problems.
• Exercise judgment within defined standard practice and procedures to investigate, troubleshoot and remedy issues.
• Recommend changes in support practices, maintenance and standards, and cross-training required to better share support responsibilities across the team and with the solution owners.
• Recommend viable solutions to reduce costs as well as improve business processes.
• Work directly with users to understand their workflow and recommend options for improvement.
• Propose, plan, and execute solutions to meet the needs of the company while minimizing downtime.
• Work with business teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities to the existing business practices, processes, and tools.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Requirements include a minimum of Associates Degree in computer science field and 1 plus years of ERP/IT, preferably Infor XA support experience, or equivalent in the design, configuration, management and programming of IBM ERP systems. Requires advanced computer skills and a technical knowledge of ERP information systems. Requires good communication skills plus proven ability in administration and documentation. Background must include the management of at least one of the following and must show a propensity to quickly learn the other: the iSeries midrange computer or MAPICS software. Also, an understanding of general business and management practices, computer system design techniques and controls, and computer operations procedures and techniques required to support and effectively utilize personnel and equipment resources.

AbelConn is a US ITAR facility and positions with AbelConn involve the release of export-controlled goods either directly to employees or through the employee’s movement within the facility.
