Basin Environmental & Safety Technologies (BEST) is seeking an exceptional Environmental Project Manager that wants to grow in a fast-paced, team-first environment. As an Environmental Project Manager with BEST, you will be responsible for managing current clients and developing new business. Other duties will include preparing bids, managing projects, developing strategic approaches to deliver business value, engage with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders, mentoring junior staff, and providing senior direction on a variety of projects for real estate, industrial, governmental, waste management and energy clients.

How you can make an impact as an Environmental Project Manager

· Manage projects, including, but not limited to, developing proposals and contracts, leading project teams, generating forecasts and providing invoicing and accounts receivable management.

· Deliver professional services on time and without error in accordance with local, state and federal regulations and within the planned level of project profitability.

· Manage and execute environmental site assessments, groundwater monitoring programs, soil and groundwater remedial actions, environmental compliance auditing and permitting, and related environmental services with senior oversight.

· Make decisions independently and/or collaboratively on engineering or scientific problems and methods.

· Provide technical and operational direction with responsibility for delivering positive outcomes.

· Write technical reports and related work products.

· Communicate with clients, third parties, and regulatory agencies regarding project status, schedules, and compliance issues.

· Adhere to client and corporate contract specifications in all activities including health, safety, security and environment.

· Possess strong leadership, team building and interpersonal skills.

· Demonstrate business development and client management experience.

· Possess experience with characterization of soils and groundwater, as well as developing remediation strategies.

· Mentoring and development of staff personnel.

· Contribute to business development activities.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science required, MS a plus

· Minimum of 8 years of related experience required, including hands-on field and office-based activities in environmental consulting (e.g., groundwater and soil assessments) with commercial and industrial projects, including reporting.

· Well versed in environmental assessment/remediation and environmental regulations.

· Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training a plus.

· Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing required.
