Forte Analytical, a Colorado based metallurgical testing facility, is seeking an entry level metallurgical technician. Training will be provided as required. This person will work with our engineers and lab manager to focus on general mineral processing testing for mine development and enhancement projects. The job location is in the Wheat Ridge area.

Summary of Duties / Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):

• Conduct sample preparation, crushing, grinding, lifting, packing, transporting, staging, etc.
• Conduct basic metallurgical, geotechnical, and geochemical testing
• Assist engineering staff with other testing needs
• Provide testing insight and recommendations for testing modifications
• Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment
• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Understanding of basic math and chemistry required
• Comprehension of Microsoft Suite of programs (Excel, Word, Project)
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in science related field preferred

Experience Requirements:

• 0-2 years of experience in a related field is preferred, training will be provided
• Able to read and understand written procedures and standard operation procedures
• Able to work safely with hazardous chemicals
• Able to wear mandatory safety equipment (safety shoes and respirator)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., repeatedly, as needed
