Entry Level Design Technician
Position Summary:
Milnes Engineering, Inc. is looking for qualified and energetic candidates to be involved in a wide range of
engineering projects and tasks that include site development, transportation infrastructure, water and
wastewater facilities, stormwater facilities, oil and gas facilities and pipelines, and municipal engineering.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively assist the Project Managers (and others as may be required) in the delivery of a complete
correspondence, attendance at meetings, cost estimates, project specifications, project documents
that need to be completed, etc. CAD Technicians/Designers are expected to be able to promote
innovative design ideas, and will be expected to understand guidelines and regulations governing the
design of any given project.
• This position offers the opportunity for advancement into a Project Engineer and/or Project
Management role.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Computer aided design and drafting skills (AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred)
• Must be detailed and quality oriented
• Must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently and maintain flexibility to changes in work
assignments as changes occur in projects
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word, and Project.
• Ability to function in a team environment and culture of cooperation and collaboration
Experience and Education:
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Certifications:
Engineer-In-Training (EIT) preferred, not required. Applicants can be actively pursuing this certification.
