ABOUT THE JOB

The Information Technology department at Hawkins is a team of strongly skilled innovators who have the opportunity to work in a flexible, learning environment, utilizing emerging technologies. As we continue to grow, Hawkins relies heavily on our IT department to innovate and implement solutions for our unique customer-focused approach to business. The department ensures our employees remain connected to the information they need whether in the office, in a route delivery truck or when working remotely.

Hawkins is looking for an Enterprise Applications Developer at our corporate headquarters in Roseville, MN. As a member of our applications team, you will develop enterprise solutions while using leading-edge web technologies.

Position Responsibilities:

• Design and develop content and applications that integrate with enterprise systems and third-party products.
• Integrate non-SharePoint related services into SharePoint applications.
• Assist developers, analysts and designers in conceptualizing and developing web-based solutions.
• Conduct research on emerging development tools and strategies.
• Write technical specification for the design or redesign of applications.
• Conduct rigorous unit testing.
• Participate in overall application/system testing to ensure a quality product.
• Deploy applications to test and production environments as needed.
• Provide expertise and support to end-users and other members of the IT team, communicating effectively in both technical and non-technical terms.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
• Develop a consistent and flexible means of delivering information to Hawkins’ end users.

ABOUT YOU

• 2- or 4-year degree in computer science/software engineering is preferred, or at least 2 years of experience.
• Required Experience:
  • SQL Server or equivalent
  • Web development
• Preferred Experience:
  • Microsoft IIS or equivalent web server platform
  • .NET
  • Azure Dev Ops
  • SharePoint development
  • Object Oriented Programming and Design
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure PaaS and IaaS services
  • JavaScript/Frameworks
  • Telerik
  • MVC / Razor / Blazor

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills
• Ability to gather ideas from and present ideas in relatable and user-friendly language
• Excellent analytical, time-management, and problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
