The Enrollment Advisor is to provide comprehensive enrollment advising to new and returning Minneapolis College students who come into or contact Student Services for assistance in the areas of registration, financial aid and student records. This Enrollment Advisor will focus specifically on resolving barriers that prevent students from enrolling in the college or returning to the college after an absence. This Enrollment Advisor will also respond to student inquiries, interpreting college policies and procedures and provide guidance on next steps.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience and/or education in related fields such as Student Affairs, Admissions, Financial Aid, Records and Registration.
  • Knowledge and experience with MS office, e-mail, internet.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including listening, speaking, writing and the ability to deal tactfully with diverse populations in a positive, courteous, and helpful manner.
  • Experience with diverse populations and underrepresented communities.
  • Public speaking skills and group presentation capability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills sufficient to identify and clarify problems or issues, to prepare and execute possible solutions under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency. Incorporates culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities.

Salary Range: $21.43 – $31.00 hourly / $44,746 – $64,728 annual
