The Role

Atlas Copco Comptec LLC, located in Voorheesville, NY, is seeking a Design Engineer Co-op to work Janary to August 2023. The primary objectives of this position include:

Co-ops will be assigned to a team to support the on-site engineering activities. Under the supervision of the Team Leads, the co-op will participate in the design, selection and specification of critical components used in the manufacture of integrally geared turbomachinery.

• Perform calculations related to design of compressors and sub-components.
• Participate in the design review process to help assure engineering deliverables are accurate and timely.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of internal standards, tools and specifications.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist and gain exposure to other departments as opportunities are presented.

Our Voorheesville, NY facility is specializing in the production of integrally geared compressors and companders, custom engineered to serve our customers. Engineering, Manufacturing and Test operations are present on site.

What we expect of you?

Actively pursuing a B.S. Degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
