Monday to Thursday
6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
1-2 Fridays a month 8:00am-1:00pm
Education/Experience:
DAI Certified (required)
Endodontics experience preferred
Job Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist and dental hygienist in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients. The Dental Assistant is also responsible for sterilization, preparation and inventory control of dental instruments and supplies.
Essential Duties:
- Setting up treatment rooms for procedures
- Preparing and maintaining dental instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Showing care, concern, and helping patients feel comfortable
- Reviewing health histories according to the practice's protocol
- Performing expanded functions and other tasks assigned by the dentist
- Preparing dental materials cements, composite, impression materials, etc.
- Charting patients and recording the date, service rendered and any charges
- Ensuring that accurate treatment notes are recorded in patients' charts
- Monitoring patient flow
- Providing patients with instructions and demonstrating proper techniques when necessary
- Oversee cleanliness of treatment room according to sterilization procedures and OSHA regulations
- Ensure office sterilization procedures are documented
- Take and pour impressions, trimming models, making nightguards and whitening trays
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes
- Fabricating anterior and posterior temporary crowns
- Writing detailed notes in patient chart
- Any other duties as assigned
