EMT Basic Job at Panola Medical Center
JOB SUMMARY: Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and deliver patient care and customer service within the scope of practice, established protocols and company policies.
Essential Duties:
- Maintain familiarity with treatment protocols.
- Maintain awareness of all company policies.
- Maintain all required certifications consistent with job, and those required by the state EMS office.
- Complies with all motor vehicle operation requirements.
- Maintain familiarity with area of service so that addresses can be quickly located.
- Maintain unit in a state of response readiness. This includes completion of daily unit checks to ensure vehicle is stocked and mechanically sound.
- Assist paramedic in completion of any documentation for daily unit and station checks.
- Maintain a professional appearance by following company policy.
- Report any problems to paramedic or field supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Licensing/Certification:
- National Registry Certification
- Mississippi EMT Certification
- CPR
- State Driver’s License
- Mississippi EMS Driver’s Certification
