Our Global Security function provides services to TikTok's US market using four principles that guide our strategic and tactical operations. First, we champion trust and transparency, leading the charge in organizational transparency and execution of security and privacy capabilities that drive customer trust. As a direct report to the Chief of Staff within the U.S. Security and Privacy Operations Organization, you will support the development of the Security and Privacy Training & Awareness Program for TikTok US. To accomplish this, you will join the team that will develop strategies to positively influence behaviors that lead to a better security posture and culture at TikTok. In your capacity as the Employee Training & Awareness Lead, you will support internal security Awareness and Training for TikTok US personnel. You will focus heavily on growing the security culture at TikTok, as well as overall awareness and education for the company by delivering US-wide training and education.

The preferred candidate will catalyze behavioral change through security communications and evangelism internally by targeting key populations to inject security best practices. Your team will empower partnerships across the corporate community, partnership ecosystem, and the markets we serve to promote cyber awareness.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads the development of US-specific training and awareness content meeting security and privacy compliance obligations (US Security and Privacy Training & Awareness Program)
  • Collect metrics to assess the efficacy of the US Security and Privacy Training & Awareness Program, and leverage metrics to iterate on collateral on an ongoing basis
  • Supports the development and ongoing maturing of the US Security and Privacy Training & Awareness Program at TikTok globally through internal partnerships with other organizational leads and partnerships with external vendors for training courses/materials
  • Creates and reinforces a security-conscious company culture. Sets the strategic vision for internal security communications, training, and awareness functions
  • Evaluate employee behavior and develop coordinating awareness campaigns to reinforce positive practices
  • Develops risk-based campaigns that feature communications, webinars, gamification, videos, infographics, social media, and blogs
  • Provide employee security training, tracking, and measurement
  • Work with cross-functional leaders to support the development of role-based training to cater to specific use cases & employee types (e.g., engineering security training, leadership war games)
  • Create exercises with measurable KPIs to address efficacy and improvements overtime for the US Security and Privacy Training & Awareness Program
  • Develop collateral (e.g., presentations, workshops, discussion forums) for internal Security and Privacy marketing. Mature security communication products over time
  • Build an internal library of approved security verbiage and mature security communication products
  • Research emerging security risks and trends (social engineering attacks, new phishing methods, malware attacks) and provide recommendations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, writing or marketing (with a focus on or experience in technology or security strongly preferred)
  • 3+ years relevant industry equivalent work experience in a converged security program
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), ability to influence without authority
  • Must have advanced knowledge of PowerPoint, Word and other writing and presentation technologies (writing and presentation samples may be required)
  • Ability to balance risks in ambiguous and complex situations
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, in particular in leading or contributing to global and multi-functional teams
  • Self-starter and highly motivated individual ready to contribute and grow within a complex area of emerging importance
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational direction, time management, problem-solving, prioritization, goal setting, leadership, motivation, negotiation, and interpersonal relations
  • Works well under pressure and within time/budget constraints to solve problems or meet objectives
  • Excellent fundamental knowledge of industry-standard frameworks
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and cross-functional expertise across multiple IT operational and security disciplines
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity, be trustworthy, and have the ability to lead and inspire change
Preferred Qualifications:
  • GCIH, GCIA, or CISSP
  • Understanding of Graphic design and video production tools preferred
  • Experience working in a highly advanced, technical enterprise environment

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $76533 - $171288 annually.



Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
