Overview:
  • PacMar Technologies a privately-owned defense contractor, is seeking a Electronics Technician. The incumbent will join a group of talented Engineers, Scientist, and Innovators with tremendous top-side potential devoted to solving novel technological problems with national defense implications in the fields of Cybersecurity, Autonomy, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Naval Architecture among others. Responsibilities:
Position Summary :
The qualified candidate will be responsible for assembly, integration, maintenance and troubleshooting of a wide variety of electronic systems. Duties will require familiarity with wire termination, soldering, and use of electronic test equipment. Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, great attitude, excellent communications skills and pays strong attention to details

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
:
  • Reads wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronic systems and sensors.
  • Assembles and integrates electronic components, according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics.
  • Terminates various types of wiring and cabling including crimping, splicing, and soldering methods
  • Tests electronics circuits and sensors using standard test equipment and evaluates installation quality
  • Troubleshoots, identifies and replaces defective and improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components
  • Fabricates electronics mounting hardware using hand or power tools as needed

  • Must possess a great attitude and strong work ethic
  • Familiar with power and hand tools
  • Ability to communicate with supervisors and coworkers verbally and in writing
  • Ability to ask questions when needed
  • Requires concentration, and attention to detail
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow occupational safety and health regulations, other state and federal regulations governing the ship repair and Company practices and procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and balance priorities
  • The physical demands for this position require continual standing, walking and using fine motor skills for the operation of tools and machinery
  • Ability to lift, carry 50lbs
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, noisy, non-climate controlled environment

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Work Experience: 2 years electronics experience
  • This position requires US Citizenship due to security clearance required for base access
  • Must be able to successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • Must be able to successfully obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Credential to gain access to federally controlled work sites
  • All candidates must submit to and pass a post-offer drug screening, physical test and background check before employment begins
