Responsibilities: * * Plan, organize, and coordinate electrical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects.

  • Prepare and modify electrical design drawings (e.g., single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagram layouts, raceway, lighting, and grounding).
  • Properly interpret and apply National, State, and Local codes and standards, and customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design/construction documents, specifications, and system descriptions related to assigned tasks.
  • Prepare engineering cost and schedules estimates.
  • Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical (Power) Engineering with a minimum of 5 - 15 years’ experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering. Professional Engineer License preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
  • Preferred Qualifications - Registered Professional Engineer * Knowledge of Integraph S3D * Knowledge of Integraph SEL
  • Professional registration and membership in technical society
  • Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials
  • Effort-hour estimating and staff forecasting
  • Practical field experience
  • Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
  • Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to electrical engineering design.
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a favorable completed National Agency Check and maintain clearance for duration of employment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $83.90 - $119.50 per hour
