We currently have an opportunity for an entry level Electrical Engineer to join our Wausau, WI office. Responsibilities include designing power distribution, lighting, and building control systems for facilities serving public, private and utility clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Performs site survey and data collection to verify and document existing equipment and field conditions.
• Performs basic design tasks including computations, analysis and modeling for building systems and water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Assists with the specification and layout of power systems, control systems, lighting systems and HVAC systems under the direction of a Sr. Engineer or Project Manager.
• Applies engineering principals to develop and evaluate solutions.
• Creates drawings and models following the company’s design standards and utilizing the designated CAD or modeling software with limited guidance.
• Assists with the preparation of technical reports, plans, specifications, and supporting documents.

Position Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (Building Electrical Systems Emphasis) from an ABET accredited institution, EIT is strongly desired.
• Previous work experience or internship related to one of the following: facility design, power systems, control systems, lighting systems or HVAC design.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans and equipment specifications.
• Ability to support experienced engineers and learn through project assignments.
• Hands-on Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and SKM PowerTools is strongly desired. Proficient with MS Office (Excel) is required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with other team members and contribute to technical discussions and reports.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
