The general role of the Electrical Apprentice I – Electrical is to provide physical labor to a wide range of construction
trades through various electrical, construction, and industrial projects. This position must also have begun the MD
Electrical Apprenticeship Program and continue the path of licensing. The Electrical Apprentice I will work in conjunction
with Electricians and Electrical Foreman to install, maintain, and repair various electrical components and applications
ranging from low to high voltage. Such applications may include but not be limited to industries such as Construction,
Manufacturing, Power Plants, Commercial, Aggregate, Oil and Gas, Factories, Plants, Coal, Solar, Wind Energy, etc. This
position will require a flexible schedule that includes extensive travel and out-of-town work and must be willing to work
extended hours to include weekends, holidays, and evenings.
This individual will acquire a thorough understanding of all aspects of industrial electrical work and must be proficient
with the products and services offered by Beitzel Corporation and must be flexible and willing to work extended hours
as needed.

The Electrical Apprentice I will report to the Group Manager - Electrical Services and will work primarily out of the
Beitzel Corporate location.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide physical labor and general labor to electrical trades and to various construction and industrial projects
  • Assist Electricians and Electrical Foreman with installing and maintaining electrical and power systems
  • Run a variety of styles and sizes of conduit to electrical devices
  • Pull wire to connection boxes, switch panels and other terminals
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Follow the MD Apprenticeship program and all associated studies
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in a professional and workman-like manner
  • Follow proper safety and incident reporting procedures
  • May perform all duties of a general laborer and assist with skilled labor
  • Aid other field personnel as needed
  • Be willing to work on-call and demonstrate commitment to the job

Qualifications:
  • 0-4 years of Electrical experience or equivalent/relevant education preferred
  • Must possess the MD Electrical Apprentice License within 60 days of employment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Industrial Electrical Services preferred
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
  • Ability to take accurate measurements
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Skill in dealing with the public in a manner which will facilitate constructive problem solving
  • Ability to work under stress and handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines
