Early Childhood Support Staff Job at Hearts and Hands Children's Center

Hearts and Hands Children's Center Barneveld, WI

Hi and thank you for taking the time to read our job post!

This position is for Hearts and Hands Children's Center in Mount Horeb WI. 8900 Ridgeview Rd. Be sure the commute works for you before applying.

We are a well established and nominated by Best Of Madison early childhood program. And we are hiring for a full time Support Staff. Support Staff are in charge of supporting the Lead Teachers either in a specific classroom or to float around to all classrooms.

Our program focuses on supporting our staff by making sure they are appreciated and given the tools and resources they need in order to effectively do their jobs.

If you didn't know already...

Early childhood educators are, in a way, the building blocks of learning. They help lay the foundation for education and discovery, for the rest of a child's life.

Benefits to working in Early Childhood:

*It’s hard to explain the feeling you get when you see a child you used to teach graduate high school and go off to college.

*Once you become a lead teacher you will get the sense of ownership of your classroom

*Teachers in early childhood get to use their own creative ideas to help make the environment educational and fun.

*No nights or weekends (unless you work at a childcare facility that offer nights and weekend care which is not very common)

*Keeps your brain young-the more you challenge your brain the better it is for your brain health

*Get to have more fun-you don’t have to sit in a cubical all day. What other job lets you sing and dance during the day?

*Change in routine-in childcare everyday is the same but there is more opportunity for a change in routine. Not sure if you know, but routine can make you start to not like your job because everyday is the same. In childcare, you can change rooms and you have the ability to change your classroom/environment. You are in control of your job/routine!

*If you are having a bad day, all it takes is for a child to say something funny and it makes you laugh. There is something therapeutic about this that someone not working in this field might not understand.
