St. Peter Claver Catholic School located in Tampa, Florida is actively seeking candidate(s) for the position of Early Childhood - Classroom Aide for the 2022+23 school year. This position is part-time. St. Peter Claver Catholic School is a diocesean school that has been educating students from 3 years old until 8th grade since 1894. Our mission is to be a sanctuary of faith, hope and love where each child is prepared for their future in a supportive learning environment centered around God and nourished through Sacrament and Word!
A qualified candidate for this position will possess a minimum of a high school diploma. Completion of or in the process of completing the State Mandated DCF 40-hour training for child care. Current CPR/First Aid/AED training, and current "clear" DCF background screening. Additionally, candidates for this position should:
- Be a natural classroom leader.
- Enjoy working with other childcare professionals in a team environment.
- Demonstrate a history of reliability and professionalism through his/her prior work experience.
- Be physically capable of performing this physically demanding job - standing on feet all day, working indoors and outdoors, lifting up to 60lbs repetitively.
- Have a caring, positive nature and a good sense of humor!
This position is a grant-funded position, which will become a school position in the 23-24 school year. The candidate will work through FACTS Education, covering the rate of pay and benefits.
