Well-established company, Florida based NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation is looking for DRIVERS to join our team to provide caring and responsible ambulatory transportation (Non Emergency) for patients to and from their medical appointments.
Duties
Transport wheelchair passengers as well as ambulatory passengers, assisting them door-to-door, loading/ unloading passengers
Operate a hydraulic lift to safely load and unload wheelchairs
Operates safety lock down system and ensures wheelchairs are properly locked down and secured
Follow schedule, maps, etc., and report regularly to dispatch.
Inspects the wheelchair vehicle at the beginning and the end of the shift according to established procedures
Maintain vehicle; clean interior and exterior; Reports needed repairs and service maintenance to supervisor
Responsible for a full knowledge of the vehicle’s equipment and it’s proper use at all times
Complete docs and maintenance records clearly and accurately
Participate in training and educational opportunities
Skills / Qualifications
Valid state of Florida Driver's License
Clean driving record
Experience with transporting passengers is preferred, working with disabled population
Experience operating a large vehicle
Safety and security minded
Able to read maps and GPS
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Musty be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
- No suspensions, DUI, or More than 1 citation in the past 5 years and must pass criminal background investigation
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $650.00 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
