Chicago PetPal provides Professional In-Home Pet Care, Pet Sitting, Dog Walking, & Dog Waste Removal Services. We go to the client’s home only. We do not take any animals into our own homes.

We are looking for flexible, reliable, animal-loving individuals to join our team. Our clients live anywhere within a 10-15 mile radius of Palos Hills.

We are looking for dog walkers, pet sitters, and dog waste removers in the following areas:

Alsip, Bedford Park, Beverly, Blue Island, Bridgeview, Brookfield, Burbank, Burr Ridge, Chicago Ridge, Clarendon Hills, Countryside, Crestwood, Darien, Downers Grove, Evergreen Park, Frankfort, Hickory Hills, Hinsdale, Hodgkins, Homer Glen, Hometown, Indian Head Park, Justice, Lemont, La Grange, La Grange Highlands, La Grange Park, Lockport, Lyons, McCook, Merrionette Park, Midlothian, Mokena, Mount Greenwood, Oak Forest, Oak Lawn, Orland Hills, Orland Park, Palos Heights, Palos Hills, Palos Park, Summit, Tinley Park, Western Springs, Westmont, Willow Springs, Willowbrook, Woodridge, Worth.

Availability
Week Days & Week Ends: 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
NOTE: Most of our services are scheduled on week days between 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

MUST BE AVAILABLE ALL MAJOR HOLIDAYS INCLUDING: New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Catholic Ash Wednesday, Catholic Good Friday, Orthodox Good Friday, Catholic Easter Sunday, Orthodox Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving Day (Black Friday), Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Qualifications/Job Requirements

• Must possess a passion for animals and commitment to consistently providing excellent service.
• Work history with a professional dog walking, pet sitting, or daycare company preferred, but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Commitment and flexibility to adapt to an ever-changing schedule/route size.
• Must be a quick thinker and problem solver.
• Willingness to work in tough weather conditions: heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, etc.
• Physically capable of walking 1-6 miles per day.
• MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE ALL SIZES/BREEDS OF DOGS.
• Excellent communication, follow-up, and time management skills.
• Reliable and insured vehicle required.
• Proof of automotive insurance and driver’s license required.
• Must possess and continue to maintain own liability insurance coverage during employment. ($90 yearly fee)
• Must have a working smartphone with the following capabilities & features: Camera, Text/SMS, GPS, Internet/Mobile Data, Access To Android or iOS Apps.
• Access to the internet, an email account, and a printer.
• Must have own equipment when applicable (leashes, poop bags, poop scooper, etc.)
• Able to give a 6 month commitment, including all major holidays.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check.

Compensation

• 50% of all profits
• 100% of all tips/gratuity
• $15 per new customer referral

PLEASE NOTE: This is a VERY part-time, supplemental job to start. Mileage/gas is not reimbursable.
