Do you love animals? Do you like to be active and outdoors? Fetch! Pet Care is hiring professional pet sitters for dog walking and in-home pet sitting. It is important to know that the hours of this job do vary greatly and cannot be relied upon to be one’s only source of income.

**We are specifically looking for an employee who lives in Austin in the zip code 78727, 78728 or 78758. Due to the nature of this job, there is a lot of travel to customer homes so we try to find employees who live in certain areas close to customers. Most customers book a 30 minute visit for their pets that is 1, 2 or 3 times a day**

This could be a great job for someone who:

• Wants extra hours in addition to a full time job or
• Just wants to work a few hours a week or every few weeks or
• Is retired or
• Is a student looking for flexible hours or
• Is able to just work some holidays or
• Is only able to stay overnight in someone’s home to house/pet sit

We are a locally owned franchise servicing the area between North Austin/Pflugerville and Round Rock/Hutto/Taylor, as well as SE Austin near Easton and Bryant Park, Manor, Elgin, Hornsby Bend, Bastrop and surrounding areas. Although locally owned and managed, we have the backing of America’s largest and most trusted professional dog walking and pet sitting franchise, Fetch! Pet Care.

We are seeking friendly, reliable, and honest individuals to walk dogs and care for dogs, cats and other pets in their owner’s homes while their owners are away. We also provide overnight care in the sitter's homes and pet transportation to groomers and vet appointments.

This is not an independent contractor role; you will be a part-time employee of Fetch! Pet Care.

Qualifications:

• Must have passion and knowledge about caring for pets
• Must be comfortable walking and caring for all sizes and breeds of dogs/animals in all types of weather
• Must live in or around one of the areas we serve- SE Austin, North Austin, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Hutto, Taylor, Manor, Hornsby Bend, Elgin, Bastrop, Del Valle
• Must have reliable transportation, be timely and professional
• Must own a smartphone with internet, texting, and email capabilities and be able to use it for the job
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and be honest and trustworthy
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be flexible with scheduling since this is a part-time "on call" position. There is NOT a guaranteed number of work hours each week
• Must be available to work some holidays since this is the most busy time for pet sitting

Skills & Experience:

• Must be able to complete the Fetch! Pet Care training program
• Must follow safety protocols according to training
• Must put the welfare of the animals at the forefront of all you do
• Must be willing to work some weekends and at least some holidays as this is when most of our services are requested
• Customer service and pet care experience is preferred

Physical Job Requirements:

• Must be able to be on your feet several times a day while dog walking/pet care
• Must be able to visually observe people and animals from up to 150 feet away
• Must be capable of effectively controlling the leash of all sized dogs
• Must be able to assess situations accurately and calmly and be able to respond quickly

The pay depends on each job but the better at the job you are, the more customers are likely to tip you to increase your pay!
