Here’s what you can expect in the role as a Document Release Clerk:
The Document Release Clerk exists to prepare Mortgage, Deed, and/or Assignment Release documents to County specifications.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for releasing the lien on collateral once loan is paid off.
  • Prepares Mortgage/Deed release documents, Title releases, UCC filings and terminations, and Assignments/Allonges as needed according to the county specifications.
  • Corresponds with attorneys, county officials, DMVs, and other lending institutions daily to ensure releases are completed accurately and timely.
  • Uses web-based applications to file and research documents.
  • Requests checks and reconciles outstanding check reports received.
  • Researches outstanding releases that have not been recorded and follow up with counties on issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to qualify:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good math, problem solving, and follow up skills.
  • Working knowledge of AS/400, Microsoft Word, and Excel a plus.
  • Accounts Payable experience a plus.
  • Flexible and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
  • Will constantly operate a computer and other devices, such as a telephone and multi-functional copy, scan, fax and print capabilities.
  • Will communicate 90% on the phone. Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.
  • Ability to identify and assess account status and determine appropriate process.
  • Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window environment.
