Kitchen Prep/Dishwasher
Our bistro & bar is seeking a highly-efficient kitchen porter to perform all washing, cleaning and basic meal preparation duties required in our kitchen. The kitchen porter's responsibilities include managing the cleanliness of the kitchen, appropriately storing washed dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment, delivering food to customers, and clearing and sanitizing tables.
Kitchen Porter Responsibilities:
Delivering plated food to customers
Clearing and sanitizing customer tables
Cleaning and sanitizing all meal preparation areas
Sweeping and mopping all kitchen areas during shifts and at the end of shifts.
Washing dirty dishes, cutting boards, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Receiving and unpacking some deliveries.
Ensuring that refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas are clean and well-organized.
Assisting the cook staff with basic food preparation, which includes washing, peeling, and cutting meal ingredients as per instructions.
Kitchen Porter Requirements:
Excellent time management skills.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
The ability to stand for extended periods of time
Effective communication skills
Friendly interaction skills
Must be 18+
