About the Team:

The Product team is a business and technology organization responsible for driving the vision and direction of the company's products and features. We meet with upper management to shape the roadmap of planned future changes to our products, create clearly-defined requirements documents that describe what those changes are, and work closely with our technology teams to ensure those changes are implemented correctly. The Product team interfaces with every department within the company, as well as with our customers.We define, launch, analyze and maintain the company's slate of industry-leading features and programs.

About the Role:
The Director of Product Management will be responsible for leading the product management function for Auctane's e-commerce shipping brands such as ShipStation, ShippingEasy, and ShipEngine. You will be responsible for release planning, prioritization, reporting, and facilitating multiple product roadmaps to drive customer excellence. This includes the monetization of both new and existing products such as insurance, pricing, wallet, and/or returns to simplify the shipping experience for merchants.

The Director of Product Management will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of product strategy, from concept to launch. You will lead a team of Product Managers and work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Operations. They are responsible for understanding our users and their daily work. Building on deep empathy, you will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, analysts, data scientists, senior management, customer, partners, and other cross-functional team members to propose, ship, and refine delightful products while achieving business objectives. You will leverage prior experience and deep understanding of customer needs to create the best fulfillment experience for Auctane merchants and partners.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Establish credibility and influence with key functions across Auctane to support customer acquisition and success to drive business results
  • Establish trust and relationships with senior leaders across customers and partners that expand commercial relationships for the long-run
  • Innovative and imaginative thinking to drive thought leadership and execution that creates the future for an entire industry
  • Ability to connect business and user design requirements to concrete product requirements and foster this culture across the product org. Product-led growth experience and understanding of the creation of both developer and business user-driven products

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent years of experience.
  • Ten or more (10+) years of relevant product management experience.
  • Five or more (5+) years of people management experience.
  • Two or more (2+) years of working under Scaled Agile Frameworks preferred.
  • Professional experience with eCommerce, insurance, shipping carriers, product catalog, product information management, product listing engine, or dropshipping preferred.
  • B2B/SaaS product experience preferred.
  • Experience partnering with engineering and design to define, build, and maintain products which are critical to growth, engagement, and retention.
  • Experience working within agile teams (epics, capabilities, user stories)
  • Experience with rapid experimentation, increasing conversion, and reducing churn.

  • Strong proficiency in Google and Microsoft business products
  • Strong proficiency in Atlassian products including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Proficiency with roadmapping tools like Productboard preferred.

Travel Requirements:

  • Approx. 10% - This role may require periodic domestic travel to subsidiary companies and partner meetings
