Director of Validation and Verification Job at ETAP

The Director of Validation and Verification will be responsible for all aspects of software test engineering in support of new product releases and new product future releases. This role reports to the main goal of the Director of V&V is to make sure all releases of ETAP are working according to the design specifications, free of bugs and crashes, and tested fully with completely automated processes. We seek someone to make contributions and make new initiatives to take this important and sensitive task to a new level, including regular trainings (technical and operation) for the engineering group for benchmarking, testing, pre-V&V, final-V&V, and further automation of the entire process for higher efficiency and reducing mundane work for engineers.

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead, mentor and develop an engaged and high performing team of technical professionals software test engineering
  • Set the strategy and vision for the team as aligned with our divisional and corporate goals
  • Manage and evolve the world class environmental and parametric test lab while building strong relationships with our divisional managers
  • Support issue resolution, troubleshooting and trade off analyses to ensure the team delivers features and capabilities on time, on budget and with quality
  • Partner with Product Management and Senior Leadership to understand and to refine the process by which Engineering collects, synthesizes, and prioritizes inputs into its product design and testing processes
  • Foster an environment of continuous learning and improving by hosting knowledge transfer sessions, using best in class tools, and leveraging outside technology where appropriate
  • Be an advocate for product quality in everything you do
  • Broad knowledge and hands-on technical experience in test methodologies
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with the development and implementation that meet product certification requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year university
  • 5+ years managing technical teams
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal groups and leadership teams
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently while managing multiple projects, activities in a demanding, high-pressure environment
  • Technical prowess and the ability to get your hands dirty to advance the product and resolve issues

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
