Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Director of Strategic Project Management who in collaboration with the VP, Strategic Project Management, the Director is responsible for supporting the execution of various large-scale, complex projects across the division in support of key strategic planning and business development initiatives. This individual will collaborate with division and hospital leaders to drive strategic planning and business development projects to support the mission, vision, and values of Methodist Healthcare System. What You Will Do In Your Role:

  • Develops project overviews and manages project scope, budgets, timeline, resources, and quality of deliverables, keeping leadership informed of project progress and potential issues, obstacles.
  • Identifies barriers to project success; negotiates through or mitigates barriers to keep project on track.
  • Fosters a collaborative planning process between hospital leaders, key clinicians, service line leaders, and division leaders.
  • Tracks metrics related to execution of key strategic initiatives at both division and hospital levels, ensuring projects meet defined operational metrics.
  • Establishes and maintain project plans and project budgets, reporting progress as required, generating risk assessments, escalating issues, and facilitating project review presentations.
  • Develops presentation and facilitates meetings related to projects and project deliverables.
  • Provides an extremely high level of customer service in support of key stakeholders.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field
  • Preferred: MBA, MHA, or related field
  • 3-5 years managing complex systems/projects, preferably within the healthcare setting
  • Progressive executive leadership exposure preferred

Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).

Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:

  • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred; or achieved within 18 months of hire.
