FGCWC is seeking a FT Director of Programs, Crisis Services. This full time position provides paid time off, paid staff development and a retirement savings plan with employer match.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related behavioral health field.
  • License to provide clinical behavioral health services in New Jersey preferred, but not required.
  • Must be eligible to become a NJ Certified Screener, which means a background in crisis services such as ICMS/PACT, residential services, inpatient substance services or work experience in jail/prison.
  • 3 years experience providing administrative, supervisory and clinical services in a mental health setting
  • Detail oriented, politically astute, great at external stakeholder relationships, and the ability to master the interaction/interface of county and state program rules/regulations and requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Oversees the Director of Crisis Intervention Unit: Designated Screening Center (24/7 program)/Traumatic Loss Coalition (TLC)/Involuntary Outpatient Commitment Program (IOC)/Suicide Prevention Education Program. Additionally the agency is working with the State of NJ and law enforcement on a new iPad Project.

2. Operates as the Privacy Officer for the agency.

3. Operates as the Agency Productivity Coordinator.

4. Assumes responsibility for directing the Center’s Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance program; serves as Chair of the Center’s Quality Council.

5. Cover shifts within the Emergency Services/Screening Department, including weekend shifts as needed.

6. Take admin on call shifts for Emergency Services/Screening Department.

7. Expectation to lend clinical support whenever necessary to cover staff planned and unplanned absences.

8. Ensures that Center programs under jurisdiction operate in full compliance with all licensing and monitoring bodies.

9. Assumes a leadership role in the Center by assisting the Executive Director in program planning and expansion; coordinates activities with the Medical Director; participates in Leadership Team and Center-wide meetings.

10. Ensures that appropriate funding, monitoring and other reports are provided in accordance with specified timeframes.

11. Responsible for working with Executive Director in grant writing and program expansion projects.

12. Assure that the Center maintains positive relationships with community agencies and services; assumes a problem resolution role when needed.

13. Represents the Center at state, local and other meetings including, but not limited to, the Warren County Mental Health Board Meeting (every other month), State-wide Screening Center/IOC Meetings, Warren County Systems Review Committee, Overdose Fatality Review Team (every other month), meetings with prosecutor’s office and hospital partners as well as others.

14. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
