Job Summary: Pacifica Senior Living, a leading provider of senior care services, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team at our Scottsdale, AZ location. As the ADON, you will assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and supervising the delivery of quality nursing care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for geriatric care, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to promoting the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing in developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and programs that adhere to state and federal regulations and promote resident well-being.
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to established protocols.
  • Assist in the recruitment, selection, and orientation of new nursing staff members.
  • Conduct regular rounds to assess resident care needs, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with care plans and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor medication administration and ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans and participate in resident care conferences.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of staff training programs and continuous education initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to monitor and improve quality metrics and resident satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to senior care and nursing practices.

Requirements:

  • Current registered nursing (RN) license in the state of Arizona.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in nursing leadership or management roles, preferably in a senior living or long-term care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to nursing care in senior living communities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant software applications.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care with a genuine interest in the well-being of seniors.
