This position is responsible for directing Operations, Engineering, Production, Maintenance for all 3 campuses, 2 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania and 1 in Holland, Michigan. Develop budgets for these departments that support the overall company goals using tools like Kaizen, Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM), PDCA, Monozukuri, and employee training activities that increase efficiencies and productivity. Perform regular gap analysis for each campus for budget compliance, and adherence/achievement of company goals, KPIs, and objectives, and then develop corrective actions. The role must ensure that tasks are completed safely and that all department employees comply with safety rules and guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Oversee each campus by working with direct and indirect reports to ensure production capacity is acceptable to meet company requirements. Review current organizational chart to determine direct and indirect reports.

SAFETY

Maintain the highest level of safety among all activities performed by self or department employees including:

Oversee that safe practices are taught and followed in all areas of responsibility through collaboration with E&S Manager.

Ensure there is effective handling of any accidents or incidents and make corrective actions are followed so those future situations do not occur.

Ensure compliance to Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and guidelines including OSHA, DEP, and other applicable agencies.

Lead any emergency actions if required, as outlined in the Emergency Action Plan (EAP)/Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and SEKISUI Corporate programs.

Follow Corporate and internal company guidelines in establishing best practices for safety.

OPERATIONS/PRODUCTION

Plant Managers at North, South, and Holland campuses report to Director of Manufacturing who’s responsible to ensure achievement, and report on as needed through A3s and other methods, of company key performance indicators (KPI’s) by directing the operating activities of the plant, including Operations, Production, employee development, Engineering, Quality, Environmental & Safety, capital projects, and Maintenance including facility and equipment.

Oversee that all listed departments function productively with each other as well as inter-department relations. Do this by establishing operating guidelines; by managing the capital expenditure and asset redeployment activities; by managing personnel and P&C requirements; by developing and initiating programs to ensure best practices in manufacturing and distribution, including Kaizen and other techniques to maximize efficiency and decrease costs; and by ensuring that Staff perform assigned tasks accurately, allowing the Company to maximize financial performance and minimize risk.

Oversee development of training programs that support company needs and requirements plus provide opportunities for employee growth utilizing the Catalytic Coaching process.

Works proactively with customers and Business Team to ensure that customer requirements are understood and match production capabilities including expedites under QRM.

Reviews QRM theories and methodologies to further implement this process.

MAINTENANCE AND CAPITAL PROJECTS

Maintenance Manager and Manufacturing Technology Manager and CAPEX Facilities Manager reports to Director of Manufacturing for both Bloomsburg Campuses. In HL, Maintenance Supervisor reports to HL Plant Manager, all of which are direct report to Director of Manufacturing.

Oversee that planned maintenance is performed as required as well as reactive maintenance is done timely and efficiently.

Oversee that budget is accurate to insure spare and critical parts are in stock so that down time is minimized or eliminated.

Develop a yearly capital projects plan working with Plant Managers, ManTech Manager, Maintenance Manager and Supervisor, and CAPEX and Facility Manager that supports production capacity needs, process improvements, building and equipment improvements, and yearly routine capital requirements for equipment at all 3 campuses.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Develops and ensures that proper procedures and policies are in place in the plants to protect the assets and technology of the company is maintained; by making sure that employee are acting ethically and for the good of our community, our fellow employees, and our company.

Ensure Compliance with Industry, and Safety Regulations.

Understand industry and safety regulations, including OSHA, and ISO; and by ensuring production activities and all Staff are in compliance with regulations and requirements.

Enforces established procedures by ensuring Staff activities comply with established Company work and safety procedures and guidelines; and by taking corrective and/or disciplinary action as needed.

Uphold local, State, and Federal Environmental Standards by examining Company processes and procedures for their environmental impact and compliance with Company environmental policies; and by recommending changes where appropriate.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise each Campuses department employees as listed in organization chart. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; providing direction and delegating responsibilities to subordinate Staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; performing Catalytic Coaching; rewarding and disciplining by contributing to employment decisions (i.e. promotions, salary adjustments, termination, etc.); and by addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, technical, or related field from College or University. 10yrs experience managing teams of diverse activities and skillsets. Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
