Job Description:
(may perform other duties as requested not specifically addressed in this document)
  • Responsible for the hiring, performance management, professional development and overall management of the domestic HR team.
  • Reviews and makes recommendations to Management for improvement of AllianceOne policies, procedures, and practices regarding human resource matters.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and insures compliance.
  • Responsible for compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all labor matters.
  • Provides education and communication regarding changes in organization human resource policies and procedures and insures proper compliance.
  • Participates in the development of the department budget and monitor spending against the departmental budget
  • Coordinates the performance appraisal process throughout domestic sites.
  • Assists site management in the annual review, preparation and administration of incentive compensation programs.
  • Coordinates and/or conducts exit interviews to gather information surrounding attrition.
  • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, and/or as directed by the VP of HR on human resource matters.
  • Partners with Operational and Department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities.
  • Assures the effective use of human resources systems in order to meets human resource information needs.
  • Oversees administration of Corporate Social Responsibility programs.
Education and specific Training
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree
Desired: Master’s degree or coursework in Human Resources
Work experience
10+ years HR experience, with experience in all HR disciplines.
5+ years of leadership experience.

Special Certifications
PHR, SPHR a plus
Technical Skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite Products
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Internet

  • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret human resource information, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to all levels of employees as well as clients and other public groups
