Overview of Position:

The Director of Enterprise Applications oversees the activities related to all facets of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology application systems, service and support; plans, directs, develops and supervises projects and other related work as required; trains, supervises and evaluates assigned personnel.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Information Systems/Management Information System/Computer Science) preferred and/or High school diploma/technical certification in a relevant field required
  • Minimum of 3-4 years managing enterprise applications required
  • Minimum 3-4 years of management experience in a health care environment (hospital, primacy care practice, etc.) preferred, not required
  • Experience managing/supporting EMR systems desired
  • Experience with (ERP) modules desired
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proven ability to identify risks and develop effective mitigation plans, Ability to evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT operations, Self-motivated, able to work within a project-based environment
  • Demonstrated history of functioning independently while working well in a “team oriented” environment, taking the initiative to be productive and efficient
  • Ability to effectively communicate with users of diverse backgrounds and skill levels

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist the AVP with budget, IT security, and various compliance tasks (such as PCI compliance)
  • Assists with oversight of Hope Health’s enterprise applications while supporting/implementing best practices with regard to security and performance
  • Implement, develop, manage, and test backup and downtime procedures
  • Lead and coordinate the requirements and prioritization of system enhancements for the implementation of new software, patches/fixes, and upgrades with minimal impact to end users
  • Coordinate and prioritize user requests regarding applications capabilities, feasibility of developing specific application systems and determine system requirements and modifications for assigned application systems
  • Assists in the research, evaluation, and procurement of new software technologies
  • Oversee/manage/support application analysts by providing direction and support of enterprise application design, build, support requests and issues
  • Participate in on-call / afterhours rotation
  • Other assigned duties

Physical Requirements:

Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone. Vision: Visual acuity adequately to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Other: Requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds unassisted in normal daily activities and up to 30 lbs. for other required work activities. Additionally, requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements (especially if keyboarding and writing), standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
