OVERVIEW

Grace Church (egracechurch.com) in Cape Coral, Florida is looking for an experienced, dynamic and God-Centered Children’s Director to lead our Grace Kidz ministry (birth-5th grade) through building high functioning teams to equip volunteers, partner with parents, and help children discover a first-hand faith for its Cape Coral campus. This person will lead together with our part-time staff to oversee and direct our Friday night Choose Recovery Kidz Ministry & Sunday Morning Kidz ministry. The next Children’s Director will sit on our Family Ministry Team which includes our Youth Pastor and Small Wonders Preschool Director and dream together to better equip and disciple families in our church to partner with God in making more and maturing disciples of Jesus. We have a calling from God to reach all people, especially the “people nobody else wants or sees.”

THE CHURCH

• Attendance: Roughly 700 in person and 600 online (Post-Covid)
• About: Grace Church is a multi-site church with 3 locations across southwest Florida. The Cape Coral campus offers a Friday night Recovery focused worship service and3 worship services on Sunday mornings (1 traditional service and 2 contemporary services). We have ministries such as Fresh Expressions, Youth, Children, outreach, and special needs. Our children’s ministry utilizes Orange curriculum.

THE CANDIDATE

Grace Church is looking for an experienced leader who loves Jesus, the local church, and children in that order. The candidate needs to be proficient in creating and leading teams of volunteers, understanding scope and cycle for kids curriculum, and comfortable working alongside parents. The ideal candidate needs to be comfortable leading from upfront and planning large events that attract 100-500 kids, working with at-risk families and children, and serving as a team-player for the health of the entire campus’ ministry. The candidate needs to have growing relational intelligence, emotional health, and spiritual vitality. Authenticity, a willingness to grow, and humility are qualities of successful team-members.

Cape Coral, FL is one of the fastest growing communities in America with a current population of 209,000. Cape Coral is located across the Caloosahatchee River from Fort Myers and only 15 miles from Fort Myers Beach and 20 miles from Sanibel Island. 9 Elementary, 6 Middle, And 4 high schools plus numerous charter and private schools are located in Cape Coral.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

• Self-motivated leader with the ability to multi-task in a team setting;
• Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably in Christian studies or education)
• Preferred Wesleyan theology background
• Experience in large Children’s ministry setting.

• Plan, Coordinate, Execute, and Evaluate Children’s Ministry Weekly Program: Junior Grace Place, Grace Place, and Planet 456
• Plan, Execute, and Evaluate Children’s Ministry Large Events throughout year
• Plan, Check In, and Evaluate CR Kidz
• Lead Children Operational Team
• Conduct Accountability Meetings with Children’s Ministry Staff
• Lead and Coach Children SGL Team
• Relationally Connect with Children
• Form Relationships with Parents
• Contributing to Family Ministry Initiatives and Events
• Meet with Children and Families in Crisis
• Coordinate recruitment, hiring, and training of Early Childhood Nursery workers
• Plan and organize childcare for Church events when needed
• Oversee Children’s Ministry Budget
• Preferable experience with Orange Curriculum

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
