The Role you will play as the Director of Heart and Vascular interventional services.

To assume accountability and responsibility for excellence in the clinical practice of nursing and the delivery of patient care in Heart and Vascular Interventional Services within Christiana Care Health Services. Areas of focus are EP, IR, CATH Labs.

Their program at the hospital consists of Heart & Vascular procedural lab areas, Cardio ICU, Vascular Stepdown, Cardiac Stepdown, system-wide Ambulatory Infusion/Specialty Infusion suites, and the system-wide Vascular Access team. This is a highly matrixed organization, and you will be working with some of the most talented and experienced leadership in the nation – both operational and medical.

You would be working with the team to grow volumes in the labs, mentoring staff and upcoming leaders, preparing for and maintaining their Magnet designation in addition to all the fundamentals listed in the job description. Building a culture of accountability and increased communication is an area of focus, they have hired a number of new people recently and are excited to get them trained/mentored, and assimilated into their culture. These areas used to report up through operations and it was more recently they switched that reporting structure to come through nursing, with that change they are working through creating that new culture, accountability, the communication needed to become a high-functioning team.

Her background is interesting, clinically she worked as an RN for 5+ years prior to moving up into management. Pay: $150,000.00 - $189,000.00 per year
