General Summary:
The Director is a key leader, involved in strategic planning and organizational development of the AHC while supporting the overall mission and values, long-term vision, and short -term goals for urgent care/occupation health within TTC. This role requires clinical and administrative capacities. Educate and advise patients, diagnose and treat health problems, and provide general health care under the direction of the physician.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Serves in the role as the site provider director; provides direct patient care on a routine basis.
2. Promotes exceptional patient, provider, and employee experience.
3. Provides leadership in aligning strategic goals, metrics, and priorities.
4. Direct oversight of P&L.
5. Translates vision and strategic plan into tactical actions to achieve success and help drive a performance driven culture.
6. Supervises and directs all medical treatment activities and recommends changes to better utilize facilities, services, and staff.
7. Develops proposals and plans to ensure that as volume grows, the facility is efficiently utilized.
8. Develops metrics and performance indicators for routine reporting to TTC leadership.
9. Facilitates patient throughput across a variety of constituents, noteably Medicare beneficiaries.
10. Promotes positive health behaviors and self-care skills through education and counseling.
11. Collaborate with physicians and other key care partners as needed.
12. Responsible for the recruitment, orientation and training, performance appraisals of staff; sets individual performance goals and develops training plans together with clinical staff to achieve targeted goals.
13. Ensures staff are up to date on changes in clinical and business practices and policies.
14. Identifies opportunities to improve the services provided so that patients and referring physicians report an outstanding experience with services at the AHC.
15. Promote the brand, reputation, and model of AHC. Is accountable for marketing AHC services to drive patient volume and success of the AHC.
16. Cultivates relationships with internal and external customers.
17. Coordinates with TTC leadership to define and implement policies and provide leadership related to strategic direction.
18. Ensures compliance with clinical policies and procedures including the proper use of EMR, billing, and administrative systems.
19. Identifies quality improvement issues related to clinical care and business operations; collaborates with leadership for implementation of any inquiry or intervention/process as deemed necessary.
20. Implements staffing models generated from benchmarks aligned operational efficiency.
21. Implement clinical safety policies and practices.
22. Emphasizes wellness and self-care to patients and family members.
23. Researches medical findings and studies and incorporates as appropriate.
24. Selects cost-effective and appropriate diagnostic fees.
25. Other duties as assigned.

Performance/Experience Requirements:
  • Knowledge of nurse practitioner theory, practice and medical care, medical equipment and instruments, and OSHA regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with providers, staff, management, patients and local companies.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and adapt to changing demands in a new and rapidly growing business segment of TTC.
  • Ability to analyze and determine solutions in order to best serve patients.
  • Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
  • Adheres to and upholds all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.
  • Current NP license, in good standing, with the State of Ohio.
  • Two to five years clinical experience in Occupational Health or related clinical practice setting. Two to five years supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
Education:
  • Master’s degree from an accredited school.
  • Certified as a nurse practitioner and CPR required.
  • Business degree preferred.
