How you will contribute

Innovations is a new space that Mondelez International is building on. Innovations encapsulates projects considered as Learns & Pilots that drive disruptive ideas across the organization. These are projects that will run on Agile methodology and for a duration of typically 8-10 weeks. Based on the learnings of these initiatives a decision would be made to incorporate this as a portfolio project to scale or introduce a new test & learn.

The role calls for experimenting cutting edge technologies while at the same time build strong partnership with the North America Business Units involving:

  • Experience of having led a large program. Understanding Digital Transformation. Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture. Ability to stich together strategy / roadmap with the ability to fill in whitespaces, and identify test & learn opportunities.
  • Experience in digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence /NLP/ML , Metaverse, AR/VR and experience in working with emerging startups and innovation incubator ecosystems.
  • Prior team management experience: a cross functional business and technology experience. Ability to understand a variety of disruptive technology products and services and platforms that will help build the journey form 'Test and learns' to 'Digital Platforms'
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the Industry trends and help build an organization digital strategy / Platform / Roadmap. Understanding of Enterprise Architectural construct. C Suite Engagement and ability to represent MDLZ in global forums; proven skills of learning on the fly & agility

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITES FOR THE ROLE:

Expected to design the Strategy, develop the roadmap and lead key Programs identified under Innovation and Digital Pillars. E.g. The leader will help bring the outside in view of building digital journey for an experience tower and also be the POC for the region across all experience towers. e.g. US Digital, Latin America Digital and Customer. The BU / Market Digitalization will cut across towers and there also support in building the Customer / Consumer / Supply Chain Digital Roadmaps

Innovation Hub is an evolving pillar within Mondelez MDS. Innovations encapsulates three different service lines:

1) Initiatives considered as 'test & learn' that drive disruptive ideas across Experience Towers. These initiatives run on Agile methodology and for a duration of typically 8-12 weeks. Based on the learnings a decision could be made to convert these initiatives to a portfolio project that can provide Mondelez great competitive advantage and business benefit. The role impacts the entire innovation agenda of tower/region/BU's, ranging in billions of revenue, 1000's of stakeholders, and 100's of customers.

2) Rapid application development - expand the concept of citizen development and enable functional teams to digitize processes using low code-no code technologies.

The role calls for strong partnership with senior business function leads (in many cases MLT, MLT+1) and external parties (Vendors / Incubators) involving:


  • Accountability of bringing outside in thinking and ideas for the allocated experience tower e.g. Customer / Consumer / Supply / Enterprise that will help leap frog the Digital Journey
  • Strong C suit Stakeholder Management for representing MDLZ at various Global Incubator forums setting collaborations / partnerships for development of Leap frog Ideas
  • Collaborate and partner with Snack Futures (recommending M&A opportunities) other Innovation Leads to lead and drive resolution of roadblocks for the allocated region e.g. AMEA, MEU, NALA, and represent innovation team for respective region
  • Coaching and direct Team Members to effectively delivery their respective initiatives

THE KEY EXPERIENCE FOR THE ROLE:

  • 10 + years’ experience leveraging emerging tech to deliver large scale Digital transformations and solve complex business problems
  • Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Ability to understand a variety of disruptive technology products and services that will guide Supply Chain, Sales and Marketing (digital & eCom)
  • Passionate about innovations, digital technologies and possess technical acumen to evaluate new opportunities with internal and external partners.
  • 3+ years’ of demonstrated capability working with Distributed Ledger Technology
  • 3+ years’ foundational knowledge of enterprise value, processes, tools, or technologies related to the Multi Party Systems (Distributed Database, Distributed Ledger, Tokenization & Confidential compute)
  • Familiarity with WEB3, permissioned and permission less systems with an understanding of Layer 1, Layer 2 and Layer 3 solutions in the CPG Industry
  • Experience with designing and developing APIs for blockchain integration
  • Experience with designing and developing the frontend and backend of decentralized applications
  • Experience with designing, developing, and implementing Smart Contracts
  • Experience in digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence /NLP/ML , Metaverse, AR/VR and experience in working with emerging startups and innovation incubator ecosystems.
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Proven track record of learning new skills proactively and applied it to business opportunities
  • Understand the impact of data and digital technologies in the context of business
  • Experience in a major CPG or parallel industry
