Overview:
The Digital Marketing Manager shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.

This Digital Marketing leadership position manages digital marketing channel strategy, day-to-day operations, and Marketing’s digital analytics, data analysis, and reporting processes and functions. This role requires excellent communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and analytical thinking, as well as an ability to turn raw data into information and insights to inform marketing decisions.
Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy
  • Assist with setting Marketing department Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) to support The Navigators strategic plan.
  • Help translate Marketing objectives and target audience insights/digital behavior into recommendations for digital marketing strategy and execution.
  • Contribute in substantive and creative ways to Marketing strategy development, innovation brainstorming, and executional problem-solving.
  • Keep up to date with digital technology developments, trends in digital marketing, and industry best practices.

Digital Marketing Operations Management
Manage Digital Marketing’s digital channel strategy, day-to-day operations, and implementation and optimization of digital marketing campaigns and content across all digital marketing channels.

  • Digital Marketing Channels:
    • Digital Advertising – Manage digital advertising across a variety of advertising channels (ex. Display, Paid Search, Social, Video, etc.), including strategy development, content coordination, ad production and execution, audience targeting, performance monitoring, testing and optimization, and reporting.
    • Email – Manage email marketing, including subscriber acquisition and engagement/retention strategy development, content coordination, email production and execution, target audience segmentation, performance monitoring, testing and optimization, automated messages and journeys, and reporting.
    • Instant Messaging – Manage instant messaging marketing, including subscriber acquisition and engagement/retention strategy development, content coordination, SMS production and execution, target audience segmentation, performance monitoring, testing and optimization, automation, and reporting.
    • Social Media – Contribute to social media strategy development and collaborate on multi-channel marketing opportunities incorporating social media tactics.
    • Web – Manage navigators.org content, UI/UX and SEO, including strategy development, content coordination, digital production, performance monitoring, testing and optimization, engagement and conversion pathways, web forms, SEO content and technical optimizations, keyword ranking opportunity research, analytics tracking, technical support and web development coordination, and reporting.
  • Digital Testing & Optimization – Manage digital marketing testing and optimization, including strategy development, high-impact test/optimization recommendations, test design, content coordination, digital production, scheduling/prioritization, performance monitoring, key learnings organization, reporting, and implementation of winning tactics.
  • Marketing Campaigns – Help develop Marketing campaigns and manage execution across all digital channels.
  • Digital Content Coordination – Collaborate with the Marketing Content team on digital content strategy and development, optimizing for digital marketing objectives and target audiences.
  • Digital Marketing Systems & Platforms – Help manage the digital marketing technology stack and all Marketing-critical systems and services.
  • Digital Marketing Vendors – Help manage digital marketing agency and vendor relationships.

Digital Analytics, Data Analysis and Reporting Management
Manage Marketing’s digital analytics, data analysis, and reporting processes and functions.

  • Marketing Metrics & Digital Analytics
    • Help set Marketing OKR metrics, campaign objectives, and digital channel KPI targets.
    • Lead Marketing’s measurement strategy, aligning measurement needs and data collection processes in order to create a pipeline for reporting and key performance insights.
    • Help design and manage user-friendly and efficient dashboards to report progress of key metrics for all marketing OKRs and health/performance of all digital channels.
    • Create and optimize digital tracking processes to keep pace with current marketing measurement and reporting best practices and trends.
    • Utilize forecast models to predict and report on probable outcomes, recommending course corrections as needed.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Lead data analysis and reporting of key metrics for all Marketing OKRs, campaigns, digital channels, engagement/conversion pathways, and digital tests, assessing performance and impact against predetermined objectives.
    • Identify data patterns, trends, and actionable insights, providing recommendations for future high-impact tests and optimizations based on the insights.
    • Manage the creation and presentation of data storytelling reports that clearly illustrate key learnings, actionable insights and data forecasts, converting complex data/insights into understandable text, tables, graphs and/or data visualizations.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage, train, motivate, encourage, and develop direct reports.
  • Coordinate multiple projects at once, collaborating with other Marketing team members, Advancement and FSC MarCom teams, administrative departments, field ministries, marketing agencies/vendors, and freelancers.
  • Lead or assist with various department projects and tasks as needed.
  • Continue learning and growing professionally to achieve or exceed team objectives, prioritizing development as a leader/manager and in areas of direct role responsibility.
  • Attend and participate in various department and organization meetings, trainings and activities as assigned.
  • Participate in The Navigators annual Plan & Progress Review (PPR) personally and for any direct reports.
  • Approve all timesheets for non-exempt direct reports.
  • Approve and monitor personal and direct reports’ Expense Reports as required.
Qualifications:
  • Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
  • 5 years of proven work experience in digital marketing and a strong grasp of current digital marketing and data/analytics/reporting tools and strategies.
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all marketing decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking with solid knowledge of digital marketing data/analytics and dashboard/reporting tools.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail, including balancing multiple projects at the same time and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong experience creating and managing landing pages, marketing emails and digital ads.
  • Strong experience with A/B and multivariate testing and optimizing digital marketing content and components based on test results.
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
  • Ability to collaborate efficiently and effectively with multiple team members.
  • Ability to travel for meetings and conferences 2-4 times a year.
  • Preferred experience and skills include: Basecamp, Google Systems/Service (Ads, Analytics 4, BigQuery, Data Studio, Docs/Sheets/Slides, Optimize, Search Console, Tag Manager), HTML/CSS, Meta Ads Manager, Microsoft Excel, regex, Salesforce/Marketing Cloud/Pardot/Tableau, Semrush, WordPress
Compensation Range: $55,000 to $75,000/year
